Dialogical Skills: dialogue as an approach to opening possibilities

Leadership Workshop:

We designed this workshop to help learners develop a deeper appreciation for dialogue as the preferred approach to addressing a wide variety of organization problems. The workshop makes a strong distinction between dialogue and discussion.  The most often complaint heard in organizations is about failures of “communication”. The workshop zeros in on specific features of this failure. We all think we are better listeners than we are and the workshop exposes our weakness and what we can do about them. The workshop involves serious self-reflection about our own practices.

Workshop participants will learn

  • The fundamental importance of dialogue today for all organizations.

  • To differentiate dialogue from discussion and the importance and proper application of each.

  • To analyze their own strengths and weakness is the dialogical process

  • How to improve their dialogical skills through some specific practices
