AREAS OF EXPERTISE

Katie provides grant and other types of writing, research, and support for fund development and grant clients to effectively and efficiently help nonprofits make their ideas happen.

A Quad Cities native, Katie holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a master’s degree in organizational management. She spent 7 years combined as a Caseworker and Service Academy coordinator for Congressman Bruce Braley and Congressman Dave Loebsack.

She also has more than 5 years fundraising experience with Quad Cities nonprofits. As Relationship Manager at United Way of the Quad Cities Area, she collaborated with partners to successfully execute and grow workplace campaigns to raise money for impact work and collaborated with the Women’s Leadership Council to advance and fund early education initiatives. As Director of Development and Marketing for Boys & Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Valley, Katie raised funds for at-risk youth after school and summer programming through corporate sponsorships, grants, major events, and various marketing campaigns.

Katie is passionate about several local nonprofit causes and is a longtime wish grantor volunteer with the Make A Wish Riverbend chapter. She has mentored a Little through Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Mississippi Valley for more than 5 years. Katie lives in Bettendorf with her husband and three sons: 9-year-old Michael and 2-year-old twins Andrew and Jacob.
